The skin color of Indians and the racial discrimination against them

India’s population is rich with very diverse ethnic and cultural groups. The diverse ethnic and cultural origins of the people of India are shared by the other peoples of the Indian subcontinent, including the inhabitants of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. They have different skin colors, appearances, speak different languages and dialects, and even within India some groups are racially discriminated against another. In the US, the average person can confuse them with people of brown skin from the middle-east and in people’s minds in the US and Europe, they can be stereotyped.
